How do I set my "home" location?

I live in an apartment and I've been trying to make the home button on the map screen teleport me on the street in front of the building. How do I do it? Should I just use a landmark instead?

Use a LM for the time being.

I assuem you're renting the apartment and do not own the land.

Check in the Group Information of the group yoru land is under and go under Members tab. Click on the ROLE you are in and look through the Abilities granted to that Role (they'll be listed in the lower right once you highlight your Role).

Down the list a bit is the ability to "set Home Point to group land". If that's ot checked, ask your landlord if it's possible to have it set. Some do, some don't.

If it IS set, then it's part of the current asset server issue (see the blog) that's preventing you from setting it. From all the crap that's breaking atm, I'd bet on this one.

Either way, Landmarks will work as long as the landlord doesn't have a TP point set.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Assuming you have permission to set 'Home,' you'll need to be wearing your group tag in order to actually do it.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I had asked the landowner before renting and s/he said yes. I didn't know I had to use the group window. this will save me a lot of time from now on. thanks for the help!
