What's Happening?

Here's my question, fellow rezzies...

What in the bloody world is LL doing about the current problems?

There's not been a blog post since freakin 9:45AM Pacific Time? UNACCEPTABLE!

This is really, really, an all-time low for SL, IMHO. I'm reminded of prior metldowns, but this one seems to be generating more and more weight in terms of being the straw that broke the camel's back for a whole LOT of people.

I'm almost tempted to fill out a JIRA that demands LL take immediate steps to increase its communication about issues like the current ones to their customers. Grrrrr.

Similar happened a few months ago. It seems to be a pattern.

It'll run fine for a bit, maybe with a few small problems...and then it's....

"The sky is falling!!! Love is over!!!!"

And then it goes back to acting fine with the few hiccups.

This is becoming a bad habit for them though and bad habits are supposed to be broken, not encouraged.

Besides, you'd be wasting your time on the JIRA. If you are premium, go for the Live Chat. Either way, chances are you're just going to be ignored.

Count yourself lucky. Us in Europe had a blog entry from just after 9am Central European Time saying there were grid slowdowns and llDialogs were failing, and then no update all day until evening (6:45pm Central European Time).

The only way a company's habits can be broken is through their bottom line. Everyone would have to quit SL at once...not even log on as a basic account...and send a letter with everyone that quit signing their RL names.

I know this wouldn't happen since you're all already hooked!

I also personally don't care if it happens or not because I seem to have a bit more realistic expectations than the average SL complainer.

Yes, yes.. you aren't an addictive personality, like me, are you? Actually, if SL was to go *poof* tomorrow, I would shrug and go on with life. That's just how things go.

I'll probably stupidly be here until one of three things happen: An equal in functionality, but better in customer service and stability competitor comes along; Second Life closes for good; or I finally get so fed up that I do just uninstall..

Wanna do a bet on which will win first? Oh, right.. gambling isn't allowed!

That whole post was "I could quit at any time!" Which of the 12 steps is that one?

*giggles* I think the one before admitting the addiction? I'm still on the whole, "Nah, it's just a game... I think.. maybe?" myself.

Ummm. Dino wasn't really an alky. *grin* According to Sammy Davis, Jr., he mostly sipped weak tea and apple juice...and refused to stay up late drinkin' with Frank Sinatra.

Heh, yeah, then you see some of the footage I saw of him hammered at shows, roasts and other TV appearances.

Those were the good old days, before alcohol ruined your liver and tore your family apart!

It was pretty much an act...he wasn't a tea totaler, but he wasn't a swinger like the other guys...he was usually in bed early, alone, after a call to his wife.
