I don't think Sears is run by the company... I TPed in underwater and all I saw was a tower with nothing in it. These others are great thought I read the BBC tried to use second life a lot but most of it failed. I can't find a sim for them.

CBS is doing a Star Trek sim, being built by the SheepBot People, which is really creating a conflict for me.

The Weather Channel has a few sims (or did anyway, I haven't been there in a while). I'm not sure who the parent company is so that may have already been mentioned. And if you're talking organizations, not just for-profit companies, the US Centers for Disease Control is in SL as well as numerous educational institutions.

I had an error in there... T-Online is an ISP, not a phone company. A subsidiary company of the German Telekom (which is a phone company).

Not sure where you went but Sears and Circuit City are on one of IBM's island. I think they both out-sourced their stores to IBM.

And Telus is not only a mobile company, it is a telephone company in Western Canada. For Eastern Canada it might only has mobile service.

Also various U.S. political campaigns aiming at the 2008 presidential election.
And some non-profit agencies. But these categories aren't really companies in the sense you mean, perhaps.

I have no such conflict; they do good work, and unless I have to pay to see it, I'll go check it out I think all of these have been covered, but here's a link to a (probably out of date) Brand Map in Second Life: http://www.kzero.co.uk/blog/?p=430
