Hi- was at Ahern welcome area yesterday, it's a no push/script/build parcel- yet someone was orbiting people (mostly newbies- fine welcome) left and right, begs the question...how?

If there's a will, there's a way.

Those limitations don't stop everything that someone can do.

Well, the weapon creators "need" to add orbiting in push restricted areas as a feature. You know, because so many combat sandboxes are push restricted that restrict-proof orbiting was a godsend. :rolleyes:

There are ways, but I won't help srcipt-kiddie griefers to find out how.

Make sure all the people the griefer attacked AR him.

There is a mystery object or bug in the Ahern Welcome Area. It seems to orbit avs as they cross sim borders near the planter in the center. Its an ongoing problem that goes back to the last version of the WA over a year ago. At first, it would just toss you a few feet, but over the last few months, it will randomly orbit you.

Slightly off topic: I've noticed that the bench in front of the Pathfinder's Picks sign in Dore will launch you a few feet when you stand up from sitting on it. Also, in Waterhead, there is a couch next to the combat region info sign that will launch you a few feet if you stand up after sitting on it. Maybe its just me, but both of these bugs have been fairly reliable for months.

Nope- farmiliar with the sim crossings at Ahern- thease newbies were being launched from a standing position. Checked the surrounding sims too and thay are all restricted so an off sim attack is out too-

What I meant was that WALKING across sim lines near the planter triggered the weird behavior. The sitting issue seems to be different (which is why I prefaced my comment with "slightly off topic";). I've always suspected that something in the way one sim hands over an av to the next sim isn't right. Watch carefully next time you visit the WA. They go orbital on the sim border.

Get a really good weapon, fly up to above the no script zone, and go nuts.

Also, another really fun trick is to get a hellomultitool. All you need is three people, you, your target, and someone on the other side of your target.

Stand next to your target, with the third person on the other side of them, directly lined up. Then type !Stand Other Person and you'll go flying over to them, with your feet nailing your target in the head and sending them flying. I've actually managed to send someone flying almost a whole sim away with this method ^^;
