I had a similar problem, which I "solved" by buying L$ on SLExchange, and selling them on the Lindex to get US$ in my LL account which cleared me from being in the red.
It's not a solution, but it stopped my account being suspended. Of course I lost out because of paying charges for buying and selling, but it was a fairly small amount I needed and better than losing the use of SL.

i can see that as short term answer ,but am wary of selling lindens with all the talk about accounts being locked due to the Api check, ive built up a resonable linden balance over time and was thinking of cashing some out but with no viable payment source on file i have no way getting any money out either.which realy doesnt give me much confindence in linden labs so i guess ordering my private island is on hold until the lindens can sort this out as i have no way of paying for it . just makes you laugh that they cant even deal with customers who want give them money.

From: Nail Stonewall even checked withe credit card company nothing wrong with the card The most likely problem is that your credit card company rejected the charge because SL is a high risk for credit fraud. When you called them, did you just ask "is there something wrong with my card?" Or did you ask them specifically about the charge from SL? The questions that need to be asked: 1) Did you receive the charge from SL or LL? (Be able to provide a date and time it should have happened to help them find it.) 2) If you did receive the charge, did you approve or reject it? 3) If rejected, can I authorize the payment so you will approve it the next time? 4) If approved, do you know why the charge did not actually happen?

SL Exchange is one of the few safe sites to buy Lindens from...they're part of LL's Risk API program.

Perhaps ironically, I solved a similar problem by using PayPal, backed by the same credit card from which LL couldn't get approval.

What is happening is that the WONDERFUL new bank in the UK that is now doing all of LL's billing is well far less that stellar in reliability. They seem to have LOST or just incorrectly entered a ton of accounts during the switch over and so people are just not being billed like they were before the switch. EVEN if your account info is 100% correct, your account info with the UK bank may not be (or they are refusing to charge, something, who knows). You have to call the conceirge from the support portal and tell them to get the UK bank to double-check and fix your account billing info. But FIRST do call your CC company, sometimes they do refuse charges but it seems like this rash of non-charges are the UK banks fault. LL will initially tell you it's your CC, so call you CC company first to make sure they are not refusing charges from LL. If they are not, then call LL and tell them so. In the end it will be straightened out. Still a major black eye (the 50th) for LL in all this though

Just thought I'd say, the issue with my girlfriend was not resolved. Apparantly her bank did put a stop on the card, but she called them and had it removed. Again she attempted to enter in her credit info and recieved a "Not Authorized" message. It's not the bank that's preventing her from entering in the new credit info, I believe it's a Linden Labs issue, because we also attempted it with mine - my credit information works just fine for myself.
So we filed a ticket, not that it'll do much good, and she attempted to get in touch with livehelp, but even though she has land, she's got no credit info on file, so it's hampering things. Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to call billing, but outside of that...
