Joystick logitech attack 3 and Secondlife

Hello,

I've tried to use a Logitech joystick ATK 3 (attack 3) on Secondlife and I get very strange results. Anyone has succeded in using this joystick and could give me some clue to how to set it for Secondlife ?

you may want to play with the settings for the "joystick flycam" in the viewer menu. I can't remember how to get to it offhand, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help.

I use the 3Dconnexion Space Navigator which supports SL.
Settings can be changed, but I have mine at default as I'm not clever enough to mess about.
Do not think other devices are recomended by SL, it does look as if SL work with the maker of the Space Navigator, which might well be a Logitech company.

I have had strange results with Logitech products too. I am now successfully using the Dual Action game pad and the G-13. (Ok, I'm a SecondLifeaholic) Check online forums.(http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/) I found that the driver listed on the company's website was wrong. When I got the right one, it was fine.

I couldn't get anywhere w/ the SL joystick set-up.

Try unticking "3d cursor" in Prefs, Input & Camera tab, Joystick Setup.

O-BTW, it was a nuisance to get it to do anything with my old saitek stick, but those wonderful indexes at the top of the joystick config screen can be used to swap some stuff around... can't get SL to register my sixaxis though even though I can get it fine in the windows game controllers config. (but then they're 3rd party drivers for proprietary hardware, so not so surprising)
