I have sold a piece of land today for a friendly price.
The selling went fast and good. I put the land up for sale, entered the price that was agreed on, answered all the other questions... and the deal was made.
But how long can it take before the money for which it was sold is added to my account? And how long can it take that my account shows that I am able to hold 1360 sqm land more again?
I always thought these changes (money and changes in amount you can own) directly changed after selling land.

Was it land owned by you personally, or by a group? If by a group, then the proceeds will be distributed overnight. If it was owned by you personally, you should have received payment more or less immediately.
Again, if the land was group-owned, then your tier will not be affected; the tier will still be considered donated by you to the group. But you should be able to go into the group info right now and adjust your tier donation. If you owned the land personally, your free tier allotment should be automatically adjusted right away.

It was indeed group owned. With a closer look at group-options I saw how I could raise my donation to the maximum.... (I did misunderstood this information). And this way I could buy for the group the land someone reserved in my home sim Maia (the other land I sold as in another sim). So if I understand you right the money will be distrubted overnight... and split of the group members? Which is not a real problem, the group holds my RL partner, a very good friend and me. Our friend is already dancing around and saying she is rich.... We will see about that *enables damage on her land* <- j/k Morwen.

The "Receive Dividends and Pay Liabilities" group ability determines who will get a cut of the pay-out. A "quick" way to find out (the "Your share" numbers isn't accurate) is to open the group window, go to the Members & Roles tab, then the Abilities tab, scroll down most of the way to the "Accounting" section and click on the ability and to the left you get the list of people who will receive a share .
