hi. I uploaded an image into game, Would like to sell in shop but when i click on item and drag, It becomes a wallpaper instead of picture on wall and wondering how I can make it a picture instead of it covering whole wall? thanks.

What you need to do is create a seperate prim for the picture and put it against the wall. Once you've created the right size prim, put your texture onto it and then place at the right spot on the wall.

go into build mode (look on the in game knowledge base, press F1, or look on the orientation isles for details) and then just choose the appropriate prim from the menu that appears, and click on the ground where you want it to be.
After that you resize it as appropriate and move it into position using the edit menus.

Better yet, TP yourself on over to the Ivory Tower of Primitives and walk through learning to build step-by-step. It will open up a whole new world in SL for you

thanks for your help, i dont currently own land so have been doing it in sandbox, it tells you to right click, click open and drag inventory items in but wont let me do this. does this only work on land you own?

Works in sandboxes as well.
Try this: create any prim (for example a cube.) Don't right click / open it. Click inventory, and drag your texture right onto the prim's surface. That surface should now be textured.
