Hi Adec, you've hit one of my pet niggles, the feet!
Trouser leg bottoms seem to me to be either these cargo pants types that end half-way down the shin, or .. <takes deep breath> .. flares!
Just a couple of days ago I found a nice pair of black jeans, again ended too short, changed from hulking great boots (which deformed the jeans) to casual shoes and hey presto! .. no socks LOL
edit: forgot the original point I was going to make LOL Try 'edit appearance' and find some trousers that are modifiable in their length?

You guys wear pants? hehe I've found a couple of favorites that I always wear. They are modifiable in their width and their length. Plus I wear boots which cover any "shortcomings" One pair I got at DE Designs (red Snakeskin pants) and the other (not sure where I got them off the top of my head) are blackleather pants

Nothing like wearing a nice bikini and enjoying the scenery. Although I do like the snow sims too. And yes AWM, I do wear seasonal clothing...gives me an excuse to go shopping again. Mandy C

Pants in SL are too short because SL is full of geeks.
(for the record, I am totally making fun of myself here, not insulting anyone else)

Ive found that if you add some heal hight to your shoes in the appearance editor then this gives a better look to long pants.

The way clothes are handled has some inherent limitations in it. Pants are limited in length and shape by the avatar appearance system. It's a trade-off for ease of use. It's more noticable to men than women, simply because one of the standard differences in style between men's and women's pants is length at the cuff (men's styles usually cover the ankle, longer women's styles usually stop at the ankle).
The right combination of shoes/socks/pants should make it look better.

I was in a shop a few days ago that sold "socks" that would make the bottoms of pant legs look normal. You know how when you fly or jump the inside of your pants look flesh-toned? These socks would make them a different color so that it actually looked like the inside of pant legs. They came in various colors. I can't remember the name of the shop, but they also sold nail polish and hair.
And yeah - I do dress seasonally, or for whatever kind of event or location I'm going to. Why wouldn't someone?
Grace Currently dressed in casual Friday clothes and trapped at work for another 4 hours. *pout*

Shoes? Who needs shoes?

Wow, another problem you poor hyoomans have. All my pants look great since I have big prim paws and therefore no shoes to ruin the line of the pant leg. Maybe you should consider going furry Then again, I look pretty silly when the TP system is acting up and two big prims are stuck to my butt.

Robin Sojourner makes those socks, I believe. They leave your foot bare, but cover the inside of the visible pant leg area and can be tinted any color. Best of all, they're free. They do seem to interact oddly with the invisiprims on my shoes in certain AO poses, but that might not be an issue for guys.

I have a pair of shoes from Shiny Things that come with a second set for "pants". They seem to do something with the foot shape/invisiprims/positioning etc. Not sure what but full length trousers sit over the shoes not above them like half masts. I'd have thought others made shoes like that also. Alternatively, put some jam on your shoes and invite your trousers down for tea
