Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm having. I recently opened a bar, for which I created a Group. I added to members to the group under the Role of Bartender. I assigned this role several abilities, such as creating/editing objects, eject, etc. I also checked the box allowing Bartenders to set the Music URL. However, whenever my Bartenders attempt to change the music stream on the parcel, all they see in the Music URL box is asterisks, as anyone without permissions would, and are unable to change the URL. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong, so that I can fix this and allow my Bartenders to set the music stream? Thanks!

Is the parcel deeded to group? Or only SET to group? You may have to actually deed the land to the group to make that work, just as you must for the "Set home to here" group permission to work.

Before you do, make sure you, as owner, are the only role that can sell the land or get profits from the land, unless you have very clearly defined partners that you want to share profits and liabilities with.

Ceera,

Thanks for the reply. The parcel is Set to the group, not deeded. I will correct that when I get in world tonight. Hopefully that will fix the problem. And thanks for the tip on proper use of the Deed settings, although the two Bartenders involved are friends I have complete trust in! Thanks again!

Good luck, Rukos. I do hope that solves it for you. There are a number of Group permissions that are supposed to work just fine wheather the parcel is deeded or set to group, but which actually only work if the parcel is deeded. I know that deeding certainly solved my "set home to here" problem, allowing that group role to wrk for mt Partner and several friends.
