I have found that there is a building under the land on my property. Plus, 48 mystery prims that are not mine, but do not give me the owners details in the "About Land" screens. My guess is they are the same. I can't return or delete them. Is there another way I am missing to get rid of these? I have tried IM'ing the owner of them... but haven't heard back yet. I guess I miss the days of Guy Linden, the land guru, who would come and fix these things for you if you posted in the "Land" forum... He is the only Linden I ever met, and I kind of liked him.

Turn on autoreturn.

I see the 48 prims on your land that you mentioned are "Selected / sat upon".
Selected/sat-upon prims are immune from auto return, but they can still be manually returned.
Click on the underground objects to select them, and then try to use Return from the pie menu.
If you can't select them, go into the Client menu, and uncheck "Limit Select Distance".
If you can select them but there is no Return menu item, then it's on your neighbor's land and perhaps only protruding onto yours.
As you already know but other reading this thread might not, you need to do ctrl + alt + shift + D to make the Client menu appear, and then unselect Client / Rendering / Types / Surface Patch to make underground objects visible.

If the manual return doesn't work, find out the name of the object's owner and IM them politely, letting them know that the object is there and on your land. If they do not respond in a timely manner (I consider one week to be more than ample time), or are hostile in responding, file an abuse report. You are supposed to be able to use 100% of your land, underground included.

Cool.. never knew about the surface patch switch. I was doing it the hard way.... disable camera constraints, and alt/ctrl zoom and pan. Thanks! And now I see, you are right. It is part of a larger structure that is protruding into my land. I will IM the owner of other parcel to ask for help.... though it now seems from what I can see that it is 2 seperate structures that cross into 3 different sims. Wow. I thought I was messy. Thanks for all of your help.
