Last week my hard drive got fried...and I had a new one installed..so Ive been having to reinstall everrrrything ..One thing I noticed today, is for some reason I cant now see videos in SL. I use the @Home range of tv's with adult vid and HD music etc etc, always have - but since the new H/D I cant see them (everyone else can but not meeee!!) I downloaded the latest Quick Time thing...but nada, zilch...Ive checked and 20 checked my graphics settings in SL..and as everyone else can see the tv working but me i know the land settings are ok...
any ideas please?

Have you tried watching video with the quicktime install? If you can play a video via the quicktime player, then you know it's not that. My guess is that there's an issue with your quicktime installation. Try playing a video, and if that doesn't work, try reinstalling it.

IIRC QT plugin has user controllable settings to block other applications accessing it.
