Yesterday I was warned by a good friend of mine that she saw a half naked woman in my house. The logging device had her name already.

So I PMed her what that was about and I got this as reply (I removed the name):

[4:53] ***: lol
[4:54] ***: sorry my little brother was visting and he maybe went on the computer sorry about that again :D

May I be angry? And may I doubt it was her "little brother"?

But IF it was her little brother (and I think one can assume "little brother" is younger as 18), I think it extreme inresponcible to let him play SL and enter a mature area. That thought even makes me more angry.

Guess my ban-list will be one entry richer!

SImple rule: if other people access your computer, un-check the "Save password" box.

Now that my daughter is old enough to reach the keyboard, I also use Win-L whenever I'll be away for more than a few minutes.

Fully agree. Or give them an own account on the computer with restricted right (that is what we have done here).
Just like you said, I lock the computer when I have to leave the keyboard

For some reason I don't like features as "Save password". It gives me the feeling the password is stored somewhere on my computer. Maybe it is anyway. I don't know, I don't know that much about computers.

"Little Brother" is a gremlin that lives in the homes of MMOG players. He is sort of similar to the ghostly imps "Not Me", "Ida Know" and "Nobody" who exist in the Family Circus syndicated comic strip. "Little Brother" usually appears when the usual user is not around his/her computer, and likes to log in as the user. Once online, he does and says things which are not normal for the character he has hijacked.

I have found that the best defense for dealing with "Little Brother" is saying this magic sentence, usually at the top of your lungs, in an aggressive tone:

"Touch my machine, and I'll kick your ass!"

Although "Little Brother" has no physical ass, this phrase will keep him away for at least a day. Repeat phrase when necessary. :D

I would advise the Person, Politely, that, whereas they Cannot Guarantee the security of their account and person, or persons other than her MAY be accessing SL through her Password, I am more comfortable for the Forseeable future to restrict her Avie's access to any lands overwhich i hold title. Once she can assure me that it is Impossible for a Potentially underaged person to access my properties through her Log-In, I will be more than happy to Lift the restrictions.

If "Little brother" exists, it's an added Incentive for Big sister to Monitor her computer a LITTLE more closely.

Angel.
