Ok, circumstances surrounding the accidental alteration of this object are a little complex so i won't go into them too far.

The object contains several Vital Notecards that WERE the property of a group, and the whole was movable, takable, and editable by the group However the object was No Copy and anyone taking it up was taking the Only copy of the Object, and when One member of the group inadvertantly took the object into their inventory the Following happened:
~Object became No Transfer/No Mod/No Copy
~Object Contents (Notecards) can no longer be read Even by the new Owner
~The new owner Cannot in any way Alter permissions allowing them to Pass the object along or Reopen the notecards for Viewing either by themselves or anyone else in the group.

The Object is unique, and the Notecards inside make up a sizable body of work, and no additional copies of the cards exist anywhere else.

Can ANYONE suggest a Legitimate means by which the Object May be Reopened, or the Notecards recovered from it's contents?

Contact me either here or In Game IF you have an answer.

Angel.

Are you sure nobody have another copy?

Since it's just a notecard somebody might have my a local copy on their computer in the past.
Ask around in your group and see.

Notecards can (or once could, it's been a while) be read by scripts no metter the perms. Give that a try.

You mean there is a script that can read notecards contained inside a sealed object? If so, can you give an example.

Des, we thought of that first, However the notecards comprise submissions by a Large number of persons over many months and the submissions were made directly to the Object so, Many of the persons who contributed are no longer available.
We Definately Need to access the contents of the Object.

You can use any regular script which reads notecards for it. The way it's done is by providing UUID (key) of the notecard to read, rather than name of notecard in inventory of object containing the script.

Of course, knowing the UUID of card can be another matter entirely.

Example script reading content of notecard can be found here: http://lsl.stryfe.org/llgetnotecardline

You can *probably* remove the notecard from the object to be read by another object and script.
