I got this tongue clamp at Open Collar site, and out of curiosity put it on. Big Mistake!! I cant get the thing off! The person who was standing next to me became the owner but cannot fathom off the menus how to remove it. I don't know the safe word or the penance words. And of course, I can't access the menu.
So if anyone can help me remove it i would be indeed grateful.
logged in with official viewer and removed it thanks Could be Yue

The only way is to cut off the tongue.

Is it a RLV item? If so, you can disable RLV and remove it. The official viewer doesn't have RLV so that should work.

log in with the official viewer and remove it. If you insist on carrying on using a rlv enabled viewer then I'd suggest you contact one of the rlv support groups inworld and let them help you.

Man... two days late for a good Friday thread.
I've not experience with any of this stuff, but it would seem to make sense to do this: try logging into SL in a script disabled area like Sandbox Newcomb. It might be wise to log into the SL main viewer as well, as I know some of the third party viewers may make it difficult to remove.
Best of luck!

I'm like "tongue clamp"????? I guess that means there's probably a clamp for other strange bodily parts too.

logged in with official viewer and removed it thanks Could be Yue you mean you clicked the point of no return option instead of any of the others you could opt out on? I grabbed one of those free relays and put my viewer on the rlv setting.. I was alone when i did this cause i didn't want someone throwing me around.. mentioning the safe word and penance means you had a look at the menu or the directions in a note card.. you can only be in rlv viewers for this to happen ..most that have the option for rlv it is turned off and has to be turned on..you have to turn the rlv option on like in emerald.. i'm only saying this because your post makes it sound like you put this thing on and instantly lost control and someone grabbed you.. that is gonna scare the crap out of people that read this.. you have to go through certain steps to give up total control..and if you do that you lose the right to detach it unless you get out of rlv viewers.

This sort of occurrence is not that uncommon. I've a couple of times seen people come into the in-world OpenCollar or OpenCollar R&D groups asking for help because a friend has got his or her tongue clamped.
The quick fix is, if you're using a third party viewer like Emerald or Cool Viewer, to go to wherever you turned it on in the viewer, turn it off and relog.
