Cant buy Lindens on Lindex

I just tried to buy $50 USD in Lindens and said my account info was wrong I checked it and deleted then did the aggrement again and STILL cant buy lindens. It looks like its asking for a CC# now.

Lindens what are ya gona do for people who cant pay thier account when its due in the next few days and they cant pay with paypal..are ya gona give them some grace time?

I have used paypal to buy alot of Lindens and this is the first time I have had this problem kinda needs to get fixed VERY soon....

I read a lot of people are having issues with buying Lindens.
Wonder if its a bug?

Do you have an SL Exchange account? It involves a couple extra steps, but will allow you to purchase Lindens in the meanwhile.

They may be aware of the problem...doesnt mean they will fix it..their track record on fixes kinda suck lol

I didnt really wana have to wait 2 days for SLX USD transfer but I guess with the Lindens it will be more like waiting 2 weeks for a fix...this really bites hard

I would think and bug involving money would be fixed fast but I guess not....

I have had this problem and done all that I was supposed to do, resubmitting all my billing info e.t.c. And nothing has changed, I got an email saying that they will suspend my account for 30 days if I don't sort out my billing but I have done all I can. I haven't got a credit card, nor do I want one, so I use paypal. I trust that this issue will be sorted out and I wont lose my account, if that happened it would be a disaster and I am definitely not gonna come back on another account as a newbie with bad hair and try to find all my friends and explain what went wrong while they think I am some imposter, and I really couldn't be bothered doing all the work I have done all over again. At the moment this issue is so depressing, they say it is their problem and they are working on it, so why the threatening e-mails?

Two days? The transfer from PayPal to SLX generally only takes a couple minutes for me. Then it's just a matter of purchasing the Lindens and popping in world to fetch them from the ATM.

Or are you out of the US? I could maybe see it taking longer if it had to go through some currency conversion process.

The emails are probably automated...their system sends them out when certain criteria are met (ie, x number of days past due on an account), rather than an actual person doing it. It's likely that they haven't flicked the switch to turn it off because a lot of people do use credit cards rather than PayPal and still need to be made aware if there's a problem with payment. If you're able to call Linden Labs, definitely do. If not, keep emailing them with your problem until you get some help or they release an official statement...but speaking to a live person is probably still best.


Edit:
Just a thought...if you have an SL Exchange account, you could use it to buy Lindens via PayPal and then do a process credit on the SL site to convert the Lindens back to US dollars. I believe LL will then automatically use that balance to pay any account fees you owe. Kind of a pain, I know, but it would keep your account from being suspended...if the process credit worked correctly. I understand there have been issues with that as well. :(

Well I have been trying to get a live person all day no luck..ie 8 calls to the 800# and always get the voice mail...wasnt LL supposed to improve customer service?

The fact its happening to ALOT of people involving ALOT of cash ya would think they would have it fixed righ away...but I guess not...
