Right, a few days ago, I was on Abitbi, setting up a buisness selling bots, for free.
Then, these two guys come up to me, WITHOUT name tags, i've been on here long enough to know you've gotta have that. a right click gave me nothing, they theartened me with bad word of mouth and greifing if I opened. I dont know who they are, why they are, or, indeed, what they are.
So, should I threaten the Sim my shop is in, just because it makes something for free?

What if the avators are big and burly, with bent noses and pinstripe suits, claiming that they are "legitimate" business men?

If you own the land.. right button click on 'em and select freeze. It's rather fun! Simply drag out some nice prim ladies shoes and skirt and dress 'em up. Nothing says "Not gonna" like a big ol' dress up doll. Just make sure that you keep 'em frozen long enough to be entertaining. Then politely remind them that threats aren't nice and eject them. Then if they come back, ban them, as well as AR them.
Yep, landowners can have FUN with griefers!
*grins* Well, I'd say simply AR them the number of times that they show up. *shrugs* Like taking down the sim won't result in them being banned anyways.

From: Brenda Connolly Did they speak German? ROFL oh that's SO wrong. From: Elinah Iredell How did they hide their name tags? Did their names show up in chat history? That's what I'm trying to figure out... I've seen dance animations where the avatar moves away from his name tag as he's dancing. It might not be hard to make a 'displacement' animation so that you're standing relatively far away from where people can see your av.

Interesting concept. Regardless of how this stunt was performed, the names are still gonna show up on a chat log. Unless they just used sign language. Perhaps a German mafia mime troupe?

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

I'm managed to hide my nametag on an AV once by having an oversized prim head and short body, I've also seen them and the AV disapear using invisprims somehow too.

I believe it is possible to 'hide' a name tag, but not a profile or a name entry within a chat log. right click any Av and you will get their profile listing their name (assuming SL isnt borked).

Maybe Monday is paranoid day but a first time poster, registered this month, talking about giving away bots for free and saying that unidentifiable people harshing him in chat makes /me a little suspicious...
