The Alliance Navy. Some people know us as a hundred man group of griefers, compatriots, fools, and lovers. Hopefully that can be set aside. Sunday, December 10th, one of our leaders entered the hospital for surgery. Her name in Second Life was Jordan Witherspoon, commander of our JAG division. Her name in reality was Dorien van der Elshout, Netherlands native. She passed away due to lung failure as a complication of surgery, at the age of 28. If anyone cares to pay respects... A formal memorial.Our homeland, currently the site of most traffic.If anyone has some land to contribute, talk to myself, Alenzia Epsilon, or Nanao Mahfouz. We'll see what we can work out; We've got less than a hundred prims left of around 10k allotment grid-wide. Thank you. |

I must extend my condolensces as well, it is tragic to lose someone who has helped shape the lives of so many in SL, and proves that you need not know someone personally in RL to be able to mourn their loss. When i last spoke to Ms. Witherspoon, we had an interesting, non-hostile debate on miltary tactics. I found her to be an extremely friendly and fair person, and I can only hope that the person who is to take her place in the Alliance Navy JAG division will fulfill it to the level that Ms. Witherspoon gave it.

A Game is a Game. It doesn't stop me from feeling sad for her friends, and relatives, and loved ones who will never again hear her laugh, or share her tears. My heart goes out to them.
