L$ "Gift" to SYSTEM?

Hi, a friend of mine was missing L$50 from her balance and I told her to look at her transaction history. She found the following entry:
Date: 2007-04-19 19:20:25
Type: Gift
Destination: SYSTEM
She doesn't recall giving a gift to LL ... what could be behind this?

I cant think of any reason why LL would take a 'gift' from your friend. Whenever I pay into the system it is clearly stated in the transaction history what the payment is for. Ask your friend to IM live help to see if they can investigate, otherwise write it off as leakage.

Doesn't paying an avatar directly show up as gift? It doesn't explain the destination though, as system is a reserved name that cannot be registered (I know, I tried  ). |

She most likely rated somebody in two categories out of the three available. $L25 per category, two categories, $L50. I don't know of any other transaction that would show as a gift to system.

I just checked my transaction history, and rating someone does indeed get recorded as "gift" to "SYSTEM".
I rated someone just the other day. It was my last chance to make a freind feel really happy for 10 cents, since they are taking the rating system away soon.

It's a small amount, but I'd save it and just tell my friend "You look nice" or "I love you" or something like that. You could even give them the 25L. I'll be glad to see those useless numbers go away from the profiles. They dodn't tell me anything about the person. Even in the day they were supposedly meaningful. They were still awfully subjective, and if you ask me a bit tacky, there to be waved in someone's face. RL does enough to remind us who the supposed popular people are. I don't need to see that here.
