Like allways LL try to get all fast and not take the time to test the new features before to launch a new one.
New features= new bugs
new bugs=grid down.
If just LL take the time to test all before.....

to be fair, with a program as big as SL, with all its intricaties, how can they test for things they cannot even imagine becoming a glitch?

Strange that they have time to work on Voice over the weekend. Most other serious issues with the grid are never fixed on the weekend. Obviously, LL sees voice as a priority for some reason.

Isn't the voice service basically outsourced to the company that created it? If so it's not really surprising that they'd have people working on the weekend to fix obvious problems. No, the real surprise is that LL still gets away with their apparent "let's mark this [Resolved] and then deal with it on Monday" attitude.

Bingo!
LL are paying someone to run a service.
LL quite reasonably expect that the someone will deliver the goodies.
I'm sure that the someone is doing all in their power to ensure that the service being paid will be second to none! ___ and will *of course* work their butts off right through the weekend.

So...... 'pay for'......'service'.... ??

Doh!

I'm in tiers :)

Exactly, the amount of variables a feature experiences when it goes live are going to be much greater than when it's in beta.

thb, I thought voice would have teething problems, but it is separate to the grid - it even runs as a different process on your computer, so at least it's not affecting the normal SL activity...
