Teleport me baby... now do it again...this time slower...now log me off....oh yeah

What is up with the teleport? I teleport somewhere, start walking or turning and then BAM! The teleport screen shows up again and teleports me again, only slower and I'm not really going anywhere.

So I press the Cancel button (when it graces me with its' presence) and it goes away and I am standing there, but no longer able to move...I have to log out to log back in to get to normal.

This has been happening for the past 2 or 3 weeks and has increased over the past few days. Is there anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

Oh, yeah. That's happened to me at least 20 times over the last couple of months.

It's one of the reasons I never log in anymore except to check on business.

I'm hoping that this week's update effects some good changes so that I can enjoy SL like I used to.

At least you were able to teleport to begin with.

My favoite is logging on to an empty sim, not having a friend's list and not being able to teleport.

This scenario is great if I feel like roleplaying being on a deserted island.

This has happened to me several times as well. It seems to come hand in hand with lag. Doesn't really occur too often but very annoying because you know you can't move unless you relog.

There are two types of teleporting:

1. The failed attempt.. several failed attempts.

2. The successful attempt, which has it's own issues:

a. You wind up there.. but Ruthed.
b. You wind up there.. but with all your attachments in your crotch/buttocks region.
c. You wind up there.. but Ruthed with all your attachments in your crotch/buttocks region.
d. You wind up there.. but get telported again. This causes you to have to log out.
e. You wind up there.. but the sim decides to crash.
f. You wind up there.. but the client decides to crash.
g. You wind up there.. but everyone else has crashed.

I have had each of these things happen to me. TPing is fast becoming Russian Roulette with the gun fully loaded. I'd almost rather have the failed TP's at this point.

I was just in teleport limbo for *12 minutes*, then lo and behold I was still at my starting point but then I couldn't move. Tried to TP 3 more times, again it went s-l-o-w-l-y but didn't get anywhere. This is the worst it's been for me. Had to log off just to escape.

Go into Edit, Preferences, Behaviour, and uncheck the following boxes:

a) Random Teleports
b) Random Placements of Attachments
c) Enable Butt Magnet
d) Randomise Everything Else

That should do it.

oh man i been having this prob too... and the others mentioned... and it has been driving me NUTS!
I REALLY hope they fix that soon...

This happens to me a lot too. I hate that since I tp to meet ppl for business or simply to talk to a friend. And to them it's kinda weird to see you pop up and then log off. I also hope that they fix that today.

Ah yes, you must have been visiting the Molasses sim. Apparently my sim is downwind from the Molasses sim and some of it blew over into my house yesterday. Not fun...lag was spiking....I thought a new casino had gone up but there wasn't and I was one of 3 people in my sim.
I TPed out and was fine everywhere else. I went home later and it was fine. weird

Yes.. been there..done that.. and lately it has happened more often.. The worse part is that if you cancel the teleport (if you get the cancel button) you have no choices but to log off !

I don't understand why they have a "cancel" button if once you cancel you can not continue on your way in SL.. makes no sense to me.. how about you???

I know this one well- happens to me at least every other day and I rarely tp anywhere these days!

If you don't cancel the second tp but wait it out (make a coffee, read a book, feed the cat,etc) you eventually arrive and can move about once more. The cancel button is soo tempting but will only ever lead to misery.

If nothing else it at least provides the chance for a bathroom break without having to brb.

that happens to my iw hubbie hes done tons of bug reporsts done pings and emailed one lineden back an forth he can be djing (we own a radio station powerd by pontaic ) an not tping an boom or walkin you name it an omg he doenst dare change his clothes lmao umm nekid tping unexpected lmao he skypes me yelling omg im being tp again this going on like all day & night , good to know others have same problem an not just him your not alone guys!!

I called for a help request a while ago to fix a problem.
A Linden promptly arrived to fix that problem. She said "Sorry, have to re-log. Double teleport."
So even from base station linden these double teleports happen.
I usually just wait out the second, it takes longer but clicking cancel requires a relog.

It's another thing we have to live with and not complain too much about. One day it will dissappear along with other glitches in this majorly complex system.
