I looked through the forums and if this subject has already been posted, i apologize. But a few days ago I sold a piece of land that had my objects, EXPENSIVE, objects on it, and sold it without my objects. So, I saw the message that my items were being returned to my folders, and it's been 4 days and none of the objects are there..no where..not lost & found, not objects, not in their original folders. So are these objects Lost In Space, just floating around in pixel heaven somewhere, will I ever get them back? Hmmm?

Welcome to the club. This is a common and long term problem and one that LL is pretty much ignoring. Filing a detailed bug report may, if the planets are in the right position and you perform the proper blood sacrifices offer some relief. In other words, figure that you have seen the last of your items.

Welcome to the club. This is a common and long term problem and one that LL is pretty much ignoring. Filing a detailed bug report may, if the planets are in the right position and you perform the proper blood sacrifices offer some relief. In other words, figure that you have seen the last of your items. Note to the OP and others: NEVER leave anything that has any value to you laying around, or in this case on land that is for sale, hoping that it will get returned properly. You are leaving it up the chance what the (new) land owner will do, and multiple object returns in SL are notoriously finicky. If you do lose your items, clear your cache, relog, and hope for the best. Often multiple items will show up as one item in your lost and found. Other than that, file a bug report and hope for the best. _____________________

This exact same thing happened to me last week, but after posting on here, I got a fantastic response from someone which sorted it out. Your objects are likely to have come back to you all bundled together in one or two objects. You will possibly need to rezz everything in your inventory until you find them. (If you have anything at all in Lost/Found, try that first). I went to a sandbox and rezzed "finished living room" from my inventory and got not only the living room, but also all the furniture inside it, plus half the garden which was quite a shock to everyone else in the sandbox at the time!!! Then I rezzed "finished kitchen" and got the rest of the house and garden, plus all contents. It's unlikely that you have lost your things - just may take a while to find out where they have been bundled.

very often when a large ammount of items are returned like that it will go to your lost and found as object and when you rez that it could be all the items at once
clear cache relog reboot all that and check on another note...why leave abunch of expensive items you want on land your selling? |

In addition to the above, it may be called anything at all that you had rezzed at your house, even "Object" or "Fern" or whatever else you might think is really worthless.

To tell you the truth, I meant to go back that day and get the stuff, I had just put the land up for sale not ten minutes before it sold...LOL..didnt expect that quick of a sale! |

Am I wrong? I thought "No Transfer" items could not be returned via Auto-return. I was under the impression that if you try to Auto-return a No Transfer item, it gets deleted.

No transfer items cannot be returned. They were deleted. Sorry ![]() This is not true. I had all kinds of objects on my land and everything came back to me, including No Transfer items. |

At some point, there is a warning that warns about returning No Transfer items, how they will be deleted. When does that apply?

I've never encountered this, but then I haven't done much in the way of buying and selling land.
I'm curious though why 'no transfer' is even an issue in this case? If the land sale is set for 'object not included' then ownership of the objects remains with the seller. In this case, when the new land owner opts to return all the objects on the land that they don't own, there is no 'transfer'.... title to the objects never changes hands. So they aren't being transfered. Just 'moved' from a rezzed to non-rezzed state... Or is this another one of those SL mysteries that we weren't meant to understand? -Atashi _____________________

At some point, there is a warning that warns about returning No Transfer items, how they will be deleted. When does that apply? I have never seen such a message. The only such message I have ever seen that is remotely close is when you move a no copy object out of a box it will warn you that it will be removed for good, same as for transfering a folder with no copy items in it. If you delete an item on your land, it is only deleted if it is copyable. Any no copy item is supposed to be returned to the owner no matter the action performed on it (delete or return). Transferability has no bearing on retunability of items that I have ever seen or heard about. _____________________

If your items are deeded to a group and they are no transfer, then yes, they may have been deleted. That is the message you get when you go to "return all" on a land with objects that are deeded to group.
If that is not your situation, then check your lost and found, and rez everything in there - you may be a victim of the coalesce feature...errr bug. Hi D'Nel! ![]() _____________________

If you deed a No Transfer object to your group, that's when you get the message about it being deleted if it gets returned.
