Hey all, I just opened my new place in Whiskey, my new neighbor, that won the auction on the land next to me, will not return my IMs, and wont turn on the auto return on her land. I don't mind most of the crap that goes on there, but there are these ... Batman laughing video boxes, like 20 of them, and they broadcast their sound through the whole sim it seems. Its a horrid sound and totally takes away any joy I have of owning the land there.
What exactly are my options ? I have been in SL for years and never came across this problem before, I'm not sure what to do about it.

Objects that loud are not allowed. I know this because I had to have Harmony Linden come fix one of my neighbor's annoying sirens one time when I still had mainland land. Try talking to live help. That's all I had to do was IM live help and they sent someone out to disable the siren.

AR the owner of the offending objects, I'd AR them once for each object. Try poking a Linden in the help, sometimes you will get one that will take pity on you.

Also, presuming you "own" your parcel of land properly enough that you get to alter its settings, switch on Restrict Spatialized Sound (might be Audio). This option will stop SFX from other land leaking in to your property, and will also prevent any audio your objects emit from escaping to annoy your neighbours.
I leave this option enabled as a matter of routine on my mainland parcel - stops other people annoying me with audio, ditto means I can use silly sound effects however I see fit because I won't annoy my neighbours with them.
