If I purchased a private island today how long would it take for LL to deliver.

It depends. They used to promise delivery in a week, but some of the island orders made during the Great Island Land Rush of Nov 06 took months to be delivered. It comes down to server availablity and how heavy their set up load is at the moment....

Last one was delivered within 4 days and I thought brilliant, they have their backlog from end of 2006 cleared. I ordered one 10 days back still no sign have sent an email asking for projected delivery times 2 days ago. I have noticed the delivery times seem to have stretched out since the new mainland has come online. As it is only 9 sims away from my islands have notced increase in griefers since it opened. So more griefers and longer delivery times for Island owners appear to be the order of the day.

12 days and still waiting

I ordered my island on Feb 21 2006, and still no word from Linden Labs. $1670 is a lot of money, for some of us. When deliveries are missed in RL my company is held responsible. A lot of discontent can be avoided but simply letting the customer know of the delays.
I don't mind waiting, I do mind being left in the dark on my order status. A simple "your island is a week behind delivery" would suffice. Order status 'pending' for 10 days just doesn't cut it. Has anyone waited longer than 12 days recently??
