I was looking at the download section and I saw this program called First Look.
Has anyone used it? What does it exactly do?
The program said you can you use it for day to day real life activities or am I imagining things? Does it allow my avatar now use the bathroom for real life me or what? Haha
Just joking but seriously anyone have comment about the program is it worth the download or is it just another complecated, buggy utility?

it use to be called "focus viewer"
this is beta as in buggier than what we have now...

I picked it up yesterday. It's just like the standard SL client but with improved rendering. I know it's subjective, but it seems to me to take longet to rez, but give better resolution. Early days yet, but so far the only major bug I've noticed is that athe animation preview doesn't show when you upload. I'd say it's well worth a look.

I picked up too. I did notice SOME improvement in rendering and rendering time. One thing I really noticed was the lack of grey squares.

It's still pretty buggy -- I tested it wth some building attempts last night -- but it's a promising rough draft of a new, improved viewer.

I cannot use the First Look if I want to go shopping, because it does not buy anything. Also I think that images took longer to emerge on other peoples' clothes, but maybe FL was a bit faster otherwise, I am not sure.
