The max avatar count on a homestead is 20 however I have heard there is a way to bridge the homestead with another sim for a temporary increase the max avatar limit. Can anyone confirm this?

You can't "bridge" any sim with another. However an Estate Manager can raise teh AV limit. _____________________

The av limit was set at 20 and it was increased to 30 by the estate manager however it seems to get reset back to 20 not long after that time. It was mentioned to me that there is a way to link or bridge sims and "borrow" the av count from the neighboring sim as long as there were owned by the same person. They are willing to do it if its possible, now just to find if it is possible.

They set sims side by side (or like the Ahern welcome area 4 in a square) and hold the event between them, open platform, so avatars from both sims will be able to see it and interact with the event/performance. That's the ONLY way I know of to get close to what you're talking about. _____________________

Is the OP thinking of the prim counts of seperate parcels owned by the same owner in the same sim being combined?

Can't be done. They've locked it to 20 avatars a year ago, period. Was a dealbreaker for a lot of my then~residents, who threw very legitimate, compelling large scale events that did not tax the other regions on the server heavily (yes, we hunted them down and checked, the hard way). The whole episode cost me a bloody fortune. Best of luck with this, I'd say do whatever you have to do on a standard region because you won't be getting more than 20 avatars on a homestead these days. Whatever the estate manager enters, will be set back to 20. It's about as impossible as trying to set a standard region for over 100 avatars. _____________________

The estates are owned by the same person. It's not the prim count I am looking at increasing but the avatar count that seems to be locked at 20 for a homestead. One is an estate homestead (20 av count) and its neighbor is a estate full sim (40 av count).

Depending on the nature of any existing build that *must* be used to host an event, you could rent a sim from LL for a few days.
http://secondlife.com/land/rentals.php?lang=en-US Extract: # Islands can be rented at US$50 per region per day # Mainland Regions can be rented at L$4000 per region per day Minimun 3 days _____________________
Maggie: We give our residents a lot of tools, to build, create, and manage their lands and objects. That flexibility also requires people to exercise judgment about when things should be used.

estate manager keeps changing the values in the avatar limit field in violation of the region type TOS then expect that estate to be one of the ones leaving the grid.
