Alt-drag moves the camera in and out on you as centre.
Cntrl-Alt-drag moves camera round in it's centre.
A sequence of these two should move to any desired viewpoint with or without you in it :)

Without being logged into SL? If so, I don't think you can.

LOL sorry, I just realised you meant without yourself in the photo. bilbo has mentioned the alt-drag trick, and the other thing you can do is go into 'mouselook'.

or you can activate the camera controls. A handy little tool built into your client that allows you to manipulate your camera angle and fine tune it. Camera focus resets back to normal when you walk, so after manipulation, just take a step.
