Clueless Newb Question: Head Turning and Editing

Is there some way to disable the head from moving away from where the mouse pointer is, when the camera is turned? Essentially, I have to adjust a pair of sunglasses, when I change av shapes/textures. But I barely can. Because whenever I move the mouse cursor anywhere NEAR the face, unless I'm in appearance mode where I can't right-click edit, the head turns away, so I can't right click the sunglasses to adjust them anyway.

Surely there is some way to stop this? Or am I 'stuck'?

You are not stuck...you just need a posing stand :) A posing stand locks you in place similar to how you look when you are adjusting your appearance, so that you can edit yourself.

You can get a free posing stand from lots of places...try Free Dove, the junkyard, or even places that sell hair.

Once you have one, put it on the ground, right-click it, and select Sit. You'll be perfectly still until you hop off the stand.
