IM / Online problems

I have this strange problem. I do not show up on peoples list as online even if I am online. And when someone send me an IM they just get the message that I am offline and message will be stored.

I can send IM to anyone and they get that but when they reply they get the message that I am offline. I do get their IM into my email program as I have my IM's forwarding to email.

I have looked in my preferences for the solution and cannot find anything wrong there.

Please anyone have the solution?. This drives me crazy. I have the latest version and sound is disabeled.

First, lets test if this is an avatar issue or a sim issue.

Log out of Second Life and go to preferences. Go to network and clear cache, then go to the general tab and check the "Show start location in login." Go back to the login screen and use the pull down until it says, "Type Region Name here" and type in Pooley. Log in and see if someone can IM you.
