Hi,

Since the 17.0 version I have problems with a lot of things. One of them is that if i use ALT + mouse to change camera all kind of things turn red: my HUD, scripted things, xcites etc. That happens as soon as I touch the ALT-button.. Does anybody know why that is and how I can solve it?

Besides that, if I use the camera movement tool, it makes a large circle and I move away completely. That used to be different. Sometimes it moves so far away (the circle is that big) that I have to move to find myself again..

Yes. There is a setting that has a "Highlight Transparent when Alt is pressed" or something simulare in wording.

It's been so long I can't remember if it's in Prefernces or under the menu options. I'll look and drop you an IM as I'm jsut about to head inworld.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

As long as I've been on SL (since October), all scripted things have turned red anytime I press the Alt key.

Same here. It's how I've found my stupid hidden pose ball when it refused to unhide upon command. (The sim was having issues at the time.. I was removing unneeded scripts.)

There's a setting called "ALT shows physical" in the VIEW menu of the SL toolbar. Those who see red highlights have the box next to it checked. I always keep it enabled as its real handy to find hidden scripted objects.

I keep forgetting this toggle whenever someone asks about it. Personally, to keep track of hidden scripted objects I prefer Contol/Alt/T to make them red regardless of alt/mouse.

When you have Alt Shows Physical checked, or if you happen to hit your Alt key when the edit floater is up, those things you see turn red around you indicate not necessarily that they are scripted, but specifically that they have active code that does something when you touch the object.
