In the last month i have battled with LL to get some rights for the average residents.Today i realised i have lost.Money talks and LL protects those who prop them up.Beware and Be Caerfull is my advice you have no rights except the right to be screwed by anyone who wishes to screw you and then LL will tell you that they wont intervene in resident to resident disputes. So as i said you have no rights.Today i left all my groups and said goodbye to all my friends and cashed out all my lindens and i have shed many tears doing this but i can no longer be dictated to by an organisation that refuses to help its players. There are other similar games out there and i will explore them but by leaving sl i leave behind an extensive invent and lots of memories. So Goodbye my Friends and be well and beaware PLEASE.

You might want to switch from premium to basic, assuming you are premium, and leave your account open.

You never know when you might want to come back.

you might want to install Firefox and set its built-in spell checker to English.

Sorry that things ended badly for you, Randie.

Hope you will find what you seek in other places. I'll return your well wish, be well.

Quitter.

Randie, I've seen many people leave SL, and I've been sorry to see them go. I'll be sorry to see YOU go, too, but I'm not surprised.

You've never understood The Rules. Yes, you got shafted, twice, as I recall, and that's bad. But you seemed determined to blame it on LL, insisting on your "rights".

Maybe it would be a good thing if there were some sort of recourse when someone gets scammed or stolen from or abused. But the fact of the matter is, there is not. And to make a change of this magnitude would completely revise what SL is. We would lose our anonymity, which many of us prize highly.

The fact is, that most merchants and landlords deal honestly with their customers. Most customers deal honestly with merchants. There are some who do not, just as there are in RL. And they get away with it for a while, just as in RL. Maybe they can get away with it longer here, since a bad actor can, once word gets around about him, pull up stakes and come back as an alt.

I've been here for almost three years now, and I have seldom had problems. In the few instances I have, I shrug and move on; the amounts involved amount to a total of maybe five dollars. I'll give that much to a homeless street person.

You display a really disheartening inability to shoulder responsibility for your own actions. Instead of learning from experience, you go crying to LL, and blaming everything on them. Then, when they say, "tough bananas", you pick up your toys and go off in a huff.

Grow up.

^^This^^ Sorry Randie. You do seem like a nice person, and I wish you well, in whatever other places you go. Sorry you can't move past the asshats you ran into in SL. There's so much more here, than them. Shame. Take care.

I would say 'goodbye', except that I'm going to say 'please don't leave' instead.

As others say, why not scale back your SL, drop to basic and leave your account dormant?

Anyway, you can always start another account to begin a second Second Life!
