Could someone help a newbie regarding when renting an apartment and wanting to place objects in it, how does one go about making sure the auto return is off? I know it said to activate the group tag, but I dont seem to be able to do that? Do I need to waith till someone from the property contacts me??

Have you joined the group? You can't activate the tag until you've joined the group, but once you've joined it, there shouldn't be any trouble activating the tag.
If you can't join the group, then read the instructions again to see if you missed anything. If that doesn't help you, then contact the owner.
