Do Not Rez Or Attach Anything!

Hey guys, I know this is rez answers and blah blah blah, but I'm hoping this warning will help others.

Currently they are also having asset problems, I tried to wear my expensive and loaded chim, got 4 different error messages and asked in Live Help where to turn because my chim disappeared!! O.o

It's gone, out of world, out of inventory and lost.

A LINDEN answered and said there was some major asset problems and they 'hope' to get it fixed.

In the meantime, please don't rez or attach anything, so it doesn't get lost. (Funny, there was a reverse of this situation before.)

Thanks for the warning, Seola :).

Not that I'm in danger of either changing into anything, or rezzing anything since my entire inventory is gone .

right. don't rez anything you aren't prepared to lose.
i tried to rez a organizer box with a few no copy textures in it.
message says "could not rez object"
but it doesn't give it back to you either.
.. its gone... *poof*
beware

Yikes, ty for the warning. I cant rez anything at all anyway.

But I did notice multiple objects flying around my sims, like plants, sleighs, furniture, etc. Really weird

I had this exact thing happen to me today too. Live Help... was live... but not very helpful.

However, what I did was logout a few minutes after it first happened then logged back in and the items were back in my inventory. Once I made sure they were all there, I just logged back out and won't come back for another day or two while this mess gets sorted.

Hope folks get their things back.

They don't send out messages because cases like this are sparse enough not to be worth causing panic.
Clearing the cache and relogging tends to fix most inventory problems.

It didn't in my case, it's still not there, after a total reinstall.

I lost the LL water flowing through my sim. And my turtle is swimming in the air. He is now a flying turtle.

We won't even talk about the inventory that disappeared.

*sigh*

Does that mean hell froze over? If so, my mom owes me a million bucks.

I gave up trying to rez attachments onto myself. All I could do was change clothes and even that was taking forever. I won't log back in until everything is back to normal but I can't wait to see the monster I created. :D

Not in this case, though. It's not a magic bullet, it just works *most* of the time.

I lost my hair off my head!

Seems some prim attachments are staying in place when you walk away.

It was like my wig got caught on a nail and I walked away from it and it was stuck on the nail!!!

Same with earrings.

Try tp'ing to skyboxes (500m and up seems to do it) for some more fun weirdness with attachments :).

Everybody just needs to calm down!.

It's not worth losing your hair over something like this.

This warning is appreciated, however I have a question.

What precisely is one of these "Chims" of which you speak?

I had an Owenamations Dance Chimera, loaded up with several dances I purchased so people could touch my hip and dance in sync with me.
