Trading Limits SU#@!

I've posted my frustration with this before, and I'm going to one last time. As a new resident who wants to invest some money in the game and am restricted by SL to only something like a $150 for the first month is a joke. Yes, I've also maxed out for my three days over at SLE.

They need to create a better system to identify fraud and put an end to this nonsense. There's a piece of land I want to buy and am L$10k short to purchase because of this silliness. I use Paypal and also have a Paypal Business account. I highly doubt that much fraud, if any, is originating from that type of account. I can almost bet you 99% is coming from credit cards.

And yes, I also tried to request a review of my account and I've not been a resident long enough to do that either. Not that it would matter, I can imagine that would take days to complete, if I was lucky.

Bottomline is, because of this blanket and lazy policy, you're all losing money along with LL. New residents you have to figure are the ones most gungho in the beginning and would bring quite a bit of money into the game.

I'll guess I'll just have to create another account and use anshechung to do what I need to do. There's really no reason I should have to go to three different places to get such a rediculously small amount of money. Complete waste of time, but then again......

Because everyone is not as honest as you are? There is a lot of paypal fraud also. People use the L$ to try and get USD out of paypal and CCs through 3rd party services. I would be very very careful about using alts to get around the limits. It could be considered fraud if you are using alts to get around your limits.

You have an extremely good point - the trading limits haven't really been adjusted since before First Land was removed, and land prices went up. That means that the chance of what you've described - people unable to buy land because their trading limits won't allow it - is increasing.

Unfortunately there's also a good reason for the low limits - a new user can buy any amount of L$ they like, and if there is a fraud enquiry, it's nearly impossible for SL to claw back the L$ once they've entered the SL economy.

I don't know what to do, I really need an increase. Now we don't even have a phone number to resort to...

I have been waiting over 6 months for my request to upgrade my limits

either it was ignored, or they figured nope and never let me know...

Just something that may or may not help those wanting a tier increase: "Please note that we also offer premium support to Lifetime, Beta, Teen Basic, and Basic accounts with LindeX trading tiers."

You can try the new support and see if you can get anywhere with them. I would guess that with the transition between the supports, that it is very likely some things will get lost.
