Once again, on downloading at attempting to log in with the new client, I was forced to agree to a TOS splash-screen.

Can anyone tell me if the TOS was changed from the last time? (and can you summarize the changes?)

My splash screen came up with "cannot be displayed" but still allowed me to agree to the TOS I couldn't see! *holds breath to see if it actually worked*

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Jeeze, you would think SOMEBODY would have read it instead of just clicking on it to get in!

...and have you noticed that after letting lots of people accept it the grid goes down again?

If I was a conspiracy nut I'd be having a field day!

Gee, choices, choices, choices...

Click OK and be able to continue playing in SL?

Don't click OK, and abandon all my in-world assets and friends?

Such a hard decision... *click*

You beat me to it (I took a screenshot also)... I agreed to the same (empty) ToS. I now have free reign!

Hopefully that isn't what they meant...

It didn't make me agree to the TOS again - I got nothin'. Of course, with the new update I now appear to be an eyeless demon-like creature with jagged arms - guess I better go upgrade my video driver or something. Or maybe this is the result of the Lindens auto-possessing my soul in exchange for use of the system.

Maybe this is where the Sheepbot Announcement was supposed to be.

If other people are seeing you all normal:

Edit / Preferences - Graphics Detail

Uncheck Avatar Vertex Program and you'll look all normal again to yourself as well :).

Yes, and I wonder if there's some legal dealie about changing an existing contract under these terms - lack of consideration or similar..

I didn't have to agree to any new TOS. I mean literally, not in the joke sense that it didn't load and I clicked through a blank screen. I just installed the new client and logged in as normal.

I'd be curious about the "new" TOS.
