Hi, i want to open a secondlife shop, i have found a suitable place to rent and i have my products, but i dont know how to display my products in the shop and where to find the objects needed to do this.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on where i can find tutorials for starting a shop, or tell me what i will need to display my products etc.
Many thanks for any response.

Most shops have simple flat prims displayed on walls with a nice billboard texture on the prim giving a picture of the item price and description. The billboard textures need to be made with a paint program such as photoshop or gimp and uploaded into SL. Then you edit the prim, go to the contents tab and drag the items to sell into the display prim. Then go to the general tab in edit and set a price and sell contents.
This is the usual thing for clothes and other smallish items. If you have a larger item like a piece of furniture, you can just have one on the floor or your shop, go into the general tab in edit and set it to sell a copy and set the price.

It really depends on the nature of the product itself. Some products require that the prospective buyer be able to see it in all its glory. Furniture for instance. I would never purchase furniture without seeing it rezzed in world, in the store. A prim with a texture representation of it wouldn't do it for me.
In this case, what you would do is set the products out on the sales floor, edit them, tick the "For Sale" box and set your price. You'd choose to sell a "copy" of the item.

If you are short of space (or prim allowance) you will need to use vendors. There are planty of free ones available at places like Yadni's. Also consider using SL Boutique for on-line selling. Listing there is free. That's how I got started.
