Hello all. Ihope first of all I don't get banned by saying this and also find some help from any one who its welling to do so as Lindens havent do any help for me. I come to my attention that from one day to other my inventory lost over 3000 items. I ask lindens, and they send you to debug , to relog,, to clean cache,, ** scratching head ** you mentioning I do it.
I waited for next update as aks by ** ANOTHER LINDEN ** and again same story ** relogs clean cache in diferent sims as they have diferent servers an blah, blah blah....etc etc
The point is this, They have admidt its a BUG who actually make your items desapear, *** WELL KNOWN BY THEM ** the problem is .. if they know this is going on, what they will do about it?? I have lots so many stuff that I cannot even name them,, thousand and thousand of lindes,, wich they also KNOW its real money. as alot of people MUST buy the lindens for real money.
I feel extremely mad and upset, I simple love SL. but its just unfair. that we lost things and they just dont do anything to help. I have fill bug reports i have ask more then 5 lindens and my items still lots *and see passing by all my money **
Can any one be so kind and be welling to explain me what are the prosedures to GET back either my stuff or my money ???
THank you so much

The bug reports go to the Linden technicians who will help get your items back - it's just that unfortunately there's a queue. Most people on Help Request, even the Lindens, can't do that because they can't physically sit at the console of the server.

Being the queue is fine. I think everyone can understand that they need to wait their turn when there's a line. But it would be nice if LL would just tell you that.........."you're number 5,892,601 in the queue...........expected wait time 462 days 23 mins".
Of course that would be admitting that they have big, big problems.........and "sorry Charlie, you just wait to do without" is the attitude. It all comes back to customer service which I'm convenced Linden Labs doesn't know even how to spell the words.

Apparently if you contact Kona Linden regarding lost assets from inventory, he's good at finding them. This was mentioned a while ago on the now defunct linden answers forum.

Reporting a Bug is the Easy part. The hard part comes once the LL script monkeys Know there is a Bug, the Hard part involves Finding it in the program, then coming up with a Fix that won't cause more problems than it Fixes. It takes a Few Minutes to report a Bug. Some bugs, depending what, or where they are can take Months to Fix. My understanding of Programming comes from courses i had to take on it a Few years ago, when Processors were slower, Ram was smaller, HD's were smaller, Programs were less complex and at that time, Debugging a Network could be a Nightmare. I don't imagine now, years later it's gotten Easier. I remember one Program exercise i was working on, the Instructor was expecting fifteen to twenty pages of Code. I handed him One page, and it worked. He was amazed, but the difference was substituting One command, that Looped the program a Given number of times in a specific number of repeats. All i Know is, Remove that one command, and the job became fifteen times Bigger. I'm no expert by any means, I've forgotten most of it, But i never forgot how Fussy it could be, and even the Experts (Like my Instructor) can miss simple answers to complex questions.
Go ahead and report the Bug, LL Needs to Know, but Reporting it Doesn't mean it can be Fixed Instantly. There is a LOT of work involved that you will Never see.

Bug reporting is important, some just don`t mind filing when it occures. I been bug reporting so many times of my sl lifetime i don`t mind doing it. It helps with the over all game.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Many people have lost things for various reasons and it can be very upsetting. The best advice I can give you is to call technical support and send an email. You can email Linden Lab support with this link http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/contact.phpYou can also contact them via telephone with the following phone numbers: * 1-800-961-6851 (US and Canada) * (00) 800 722 00010 (UK) * (0011) 800 722 00010 (Australia) (9am-6pm are business hours. If you call after business hours leave your name and phone number so they can call you back) Ask them if you can have your account rolled back or if you can apply for an inventory recovery process. Also, ask them if you should wait to buy anything or make any changes to your assets in case your account is rolled back. A rollback could make you lose more recent changes. Be as detailed as possible as to exactly what you were doing at the time and what time it was that you lost parts of your inventory. Good luck to you.

I keep getting unwanted and unasked for rollback where I lose items I have saved. I have lost things too but I just figured it was my inventory search feature that got issues not a bug. I have had items that owner names didn't show or up even item quit working. I didn't report it. I figure why? I have done it in past, I have done it other games and I am just tired of reporting bugs because I am not paying them to be their bug tester personally. They are in charge with what happens on grid. If object doesn't work is it them or is the creator? I don't know yet but now I can't do anything about there server and programing issues and whatever bugs I may report I often in past not sure if I am imagining things or what. Ussually no one else is experiencing them that I know. I don't want to pay them and be their bug tester personally right now.
