I don't know whether it's because the recent casino hoo-har has caused the same question to spawned a million times, or whether I just need to see a doctor but I've noticed my usual sarcasm descending into utter passive/aggressiveness these past few days, and I'd just like to apologise to anybody who got on the wrong side of it. I'll just take a step back and ignore general chit-chat and more controversial subjects for now.

I understand how you feel, Object. I think we're all just getting totally exasperated. I'm taking a step back from SL itself for a while. Life's too short (RL that is!)

I'm pretty new to these forums, but things have seemed a bit different around here over the past few days. I think the casino thing has something to do with it. Whatever it is, it really hasn't been a very fun place lately. That's o.k., there are tons of SL related forums out there that are fun! I pretty much view this as a good source of info, and potential traffic for my endeavors. I have my fun in-world or on other boards.

Yes I've been getting drawn into petty debates when I'm old enough to know better and having sense of humour failure too. I should apologise too, this forum is supposed to be about helping each other not belittling each other.

From: Fletcher Rodgers what mind? I left it at the door..... Seconded.. I left my mind at the "Connecting to Second Life." Everyone has bad days/weeks. This is why I usually try to avoid the many controversial threads that aren't really for serious discussions. If I do happen to wander into one, I usually wind up regretting it.

From: someone Does Resident Answers Destabilise Your Mind? No, I think 12 years of Catholic School took care of that.

From: someone Does Resident Answers Destabilise Your Mind? Does sapping one's will to live count as destabilizing?

mmm what was the question again, my mind seems to have becomes as unstable as the grid these days Seriously yes it is frustrating and I have noticed the frustration level in the forums has risen a great deal. (I would say I do not post here a lot, but somehow my post count has gotten up over 400 posts) when the heck did I have time to post in the forums so much (I know not high compared to some, but considering most of my time is IN SL, amazing how I managed to make that many posts here hehe)

I talked with another forum member the other day about some of this. In the end, we're here because we must enjoy Second Life. With that in mind, ttake a moment, to think of what you love about it, what puts a smile on your face, and what brings you back? Think of the good stuff. Mari

Exactly, I know I whinge, whine and get nitpicky at times here but that's because I care about the platform. I wouldn't be here whingeing and whining if I didn't enjoy the place and no I don't consider whingeing and whining to be enjoyable pastimes!
