Shopping for hair/fashions/skins while waiting for Grid?

Does anyone know of any good Web-based shops (that transact in L$) for hair/fashions/skins that I could browse while waiting for the grid to come back up?

I want to get some prim hair, skins, beachwear (hat, shades, bikini, sarong, flipflops), a nice black dress, and some trashy clubwear.

Any ideas?

http://www.slexchange.com/

But I probably wouldn't buy hair or skins without trying demos first. *shrug*

You can browse, you just can't buy...and if you find something you like, you can always add it your favorites list.

slexchange
slboutique
and I recently saw one called
slshopper (done through sluniverse)

I use all 3

slexchange and slboutique sell directly from the site and only work when the grid is up, you have to be logged in to recieve the item

slshopper works as a listing area that has the ability to link via slurl so you can tp to the store selling the item.

I'm not sure about Slexchange only working for buying purposes when the grid is up, but I know that I've purchased numerous things on there while not being logged into SL. I've purchased from work, and then logged in when I got home to receive delivery. You just can't buy a ton of items because of the IM cap. If your IM's get capped as too many, then you won't get the deliveries of items purchased on SLexchange after the cap. But otherwise, you don't have to be logged into SL when your shopping on SLexchange.

SLExchange DOESN't work when grid is down, you can only browse...I never buy anything is I'm not logged in because sometimes you don't receive the items if you are nonot in world in or just simply away...

oops I was thinking when you transfer Lindens from slexchange to yourself in world, I think I read you should be logged in, not sure if that means you have to be logged in

I only buy if I am logged in, as I do not wish to lose the items, tried it once when not logged in and never got the item, and the seller never replied to my email asking them to check their end, as it took my money but never gave me the item.

I never have a problem when logged in though

I'm looking for a nice black tube dress, with straps, not too short. Anyone have a favourite?

Have you been to Mischief? There's a full range of women's clothes there, from suits to clubwear. Last Call and Pixel Dolls are also great. If you need shoes to go with that dress, Shiny Things and Prim Seduction would be my recommendations. :)
