Hi, I just subscribed to Second Life, but I cannot purchase any land yet. It says that the first 512 sq meters land is free. On SL it's written on any land I wish to purchase "This transaction would exceed your daily billing by $48, you have already billed $72 f your daily billing limit of $25." (I have never purchased any land). Do I need to put L$ on my account before I retry? Please help me, I'm such a "noob"...

Think you may have gotten a bit mixed up, what they are basically saying is that after you buy the 512sqm then you dont have to pay any monthly tier payments on it. But you still have to buy the land in the first place. Make sense? Remember though if you buy more than 512sqm then your tier payments will begin to kick in.

It is free from the monthly "tier" payment. Sort of like a property tax. You still have to buy the land at whatever price it is selling at. So you will need the Lindens to do it. I'm guessing the $72 is your annual premium paid in full? For some asinine reason, they have decided to include that in your billing limits, so you will have to wait.
