Is there any cure for quicksand roads? It seems sometimes I cannot ride more than 100 yards without the road suddenly sucking me and my vehicle into oblivion, only to spit us out in the exact same place stopped dead. Other times it's like running over a mine and geting blown into another sim. Are thre roads that are better suited for actual use? is there some setting that will prevent this?

The problem isn't with the roads, it's that crossing from one region to another is horribly bugged at the moment. It's grid wide. One day, maybe it will be fixed. Right now, vehicular travel in SL is quite often a nightmare.

It's actually become worse as of the last year. In a really really laggy sim you can get sucked down anywhere. Doesn't have to be a border hehe. Usually it is borders that cause this though. Each sim is held on a different server (sometimes paired up), and your avatar/object data has to transfer to them.

I see those gophers I sent to take out the roads are doing their job.
My plan to take over SL and rename it Fluffyville seem to be right on schedule!
Muahhahahahahaha!
