Newbie Questions: Object Creation

I read somewhere that Lindens and others conduct in-game tutorial sessions about creating objects and other things.

How do I locate a tutorial?

How do I get there?

Where is the Sandbox? Is it on the Orientation island?

The search button in world is the best tool I have found for this. You can look under events for classes on building. You can look under the places tabs and put in sandboxes for a list of them.

Look (using "search" for events) specifically for classes ... I know that several groups offer them on a regular basis.

Look for New Citizens Inc and the Shelter, both of whom have great resources for new players, including tutorials and classes. I think the Shelter has some building events that are quite interesting and educational.

Also use Search to look for the Ivory Tower. That is an amazing resource for learning how to manipulate prims -- what the various kinds are, the various ways each can be manipulated, etc.
