I currently own an island and want to purchase another island to join with my existing.
I have emailed the concerige and still no response.
I have searched land store to try and buy beside my island but can't seem to find my island on the grid. (is there a way i don't know about)
I would appreciate if someone could tell me the process so I can get this island before the month is over.
Need to terrain and such before I can expand my current business.
Thank you so much ahead of time to all who help.

On the main land store page is a link to manage your existing reservatoin. Click it and it will show you the grid coordinates of your existing island. Using this and some patience you can locate your island and then reserve the desired space next to it. It would be real helpful if the manage your reservation page in addition to being slightly more helpful in finding your currently owned space also allowed you to reserve a space but you will have to go back to the main grid map to do that.

The current design of the land store leaves very much to desired, it is very difficult to navigate the map.

I have no coordinates that appear and have searched the grid to find nothing.
It's so frustrating.
My region name is Island Paradise.
Does this help?
I also saw an orange existing region but it isn't mine.
MAJOR frustration is setting in.
Sigh

All it takes to get your island placed next to your existing, is to email the concierge. Order your island, and email them to let them know you have, and which side of your existing island you want it to be connected to. You will get an RT# sent that will give you a ticket. Alternatively you can contact the concierge team by phone, and they can assist you with it there. (Often faster than email). If you dont have that number, IM me in world and I can give it to ya.

I have left a voice ticket (I think that is what it's called)
I do not have the concerge team's phone number however.
If you could send me it in an offline I could retrieve it in my offline email.
Thank you for your response.

Still Nothing

Still no response from Concereige.
This is the third day now.
I still can't find anything and every time i phone Linden I have to leave a ticket.
Wait for 10 minutes on hold then have to leave a voice.
There has to be an easier way.

You could try to purchase Linden Labs and restructure their customer support division, other than that I can think of no easier way.

Good luck

Hmm .. how many L$ do you think might be a ballpark figure they'd consider?

Whipround anyone?

(For the benefit of those not in the know, a whipround is what we in Blighty call a collection) :)

Thanks for making me smile

What a nice way to start my day.
A smile over this whole frustrating thing.
Thanks you guys.
Going onto day number four with no email nor voice response.
"Promise to call you back and treat it just like a voice mail"
I own my own rl business and always return my voicemails the same day.
Guess Linden is so very busy.
Thought concerige was suppose to make life easier for us Island Owners.
Have a great day everyone.

Butterfly,

I don't have any trouble finding my island using manage existing reservations to find the coordinates. Then go back to the land store and find your island so you can place a reservation. Proceed to checkout and make a purchase at the loaction you chose when you placed the reservation and you don't need to contact LL.

I really do find it strange that i can't then.
I log in and it says that i have no regions.
This is me.
I have done that
There are NO coordinates listed for my island.
Here is a PASTE from Existing Reservations Link

"These are your Regions.
All regions orders, are listed here.

Location Controls Build Status ?
You currently have no region orders.

These are your Reservations.
Below are your active reservations. Here you can make a build request to build on a reservation.

Location Renewal Date ? Controls
You currently have no reservations. If you have just paid for an auction, please refresh this page in a few minutes.

Below are your cancelled reservations.

Location Cancellation Date "

So that is it
This is why i am so frustrated. My island was also purchased back in the day when it was 1125 or something.

Hi ButterflyKiss, this is how to find your landstore map coordinates for your sim.

Go to Client on the menu, and check View Admin Options. Then go to Server on the menu, and you will see a new category has appeared, called God Tools, go into there. On one of the tabs, forget which, you will see top right, the grid location. Note the two numbers then go to the Land Store. There is no facility for entering those two numbers, so just click anywhere on the Land Store map and see what the coordinates are there, then again somewhere else on the Land Store Map and you will find which direction you need to go to get to your sim. You can confirm it is yours by selecting it and trying to add it to your cart, it will say, Sorry, already owned by ButterflyKiss Ophelia.

Depending on how long ago you purchased your island, you may have the original email from LL confirming that you paid for it, or confirming that it has been delivered, and on one of those emails they mention the grid coordinates.

Good Luck, Rock

Island Paradise

Thank you so much.
I will definately try this.
So much easier than the concerige.
Island Paradise is the name of my island purchased about 9 months ago.
Every one is so helpful here.

Island Paradise is at 1072,968. You can build at (1073,969), (1072,969), (1071,967), and (1071,968) but need permission from Fallon Winfield to build on 1071,969 and permission from FenwayMonster Green to build on (1072,967) or (1073,968) because they have adjoining sim reservations. If you want to eventually get even bigger I suggest you move your existing island to a newer part of the grid where it is much less crowded and start expanding there.

This is the answer i was looking for!!!
I found my Island and Now will be purchasing another. YAHOO!!
Another question for you if I might.
Can I name the region the same as the region i have "Island Paradise"?
When i go to checkout it says I can't and I would like to keep the name so it continues with both Islands.
Thank you so much.
I am a happy camper now!!

The region name cannot be used again, but a variation can. You CAN use the same estate name though. One Estate I have is called the Fair-Isles Estate, and the sims inside it are called Sukka Mire, Swey and Hoini. I can add as many sims to this estate name as I like. However, there are advantages and disadvantages to having sims grouped under the same estate.

You have all been so helpful.
I am so disheartened that people can join their reservations to the coner of my island.
Seems that they are still attached and I believed that no one could surround my island period.
Guess I didn't read the find print.

They can't any more. It used to be you were only protected in the four cardinal directions, but not diagonally. In early March they changed it so that when you place an island, all 8 surrounding squares are automatically protected. There was a blog post about it.

Are you saying that the the two that are diagonal from me can keep their reservations there if they were placed before March?
Oh let there be an SL god watching over me.

I do not know what arrangements were made regarding stuff that was done prior to the policy change. You might want to check the blog entries, it would have been in the first week of March, but I don't remember the exact date. It was about the revisions to the Land Store.

edited to add:
Here's the exact quote:
From: someone
In order for you to reserve a space, all EIGHT spaces around it must be open; that is, they must not be reserved or built-upon already. Previously, this was just the four cardinal directions.

and the entry itself is at:
http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/03/05/land-store-re-opened-now-with-more-space/
