Advanced Menu > Debug Settings > playTypingAnim = FALSE.

Damien's instructions will disable the Typing Anim. The only way to get rid of the mouse clicking sound is to turn down the UI sound and that will turn down other sounds also - like the little sound when you get an IM.

you can disable the typing animation in preferences now if you prefer not to fiddle with the debug settings. go to preferences under text chat and uncheck the play typing animations option.
as for the mouse clicking sounds .. I know you can change the sound file associated with the action via uuid but I've never tried that under debug settings. I'm not sure if you blank out the default uuid sound file if that will make your mouse clicks soundless:
