My neighbor is an absentee mall-lord who will not respond to my inquiries, so perhaps you guys can help. This neighbor's mall has the trees pictured below. I really like them and would like to buy some for my future gardens next door. I've checked the creator on the prims, and it is the same person who created and sells the pre-fab mall my neighbor is using. The problem is that the guy who sells the mall does NOT sell the trees! Even in his ads for the mall, no trees are pictured. I've emailed him anyway to ask, but he's a busy guy and may not respond. I'm pretty sure my neighbor did not create these gorgeous trees, as their primary business is selling freebies and BIAB stuff. I don't believe for a second that they wouldn't be selling these trees for mega-bucks if they were able to. The only other reasonable option is Lilith Heart. They actually look a lot like her work, but she doesn't have them listed on SLX. I tried going to her store, but my poor under-powered computer tends to crash there. Besides, if they were hers, I would fully expect them to list her as the creator (like the rest of her plants do). I've never seen these trees anywhere else, so I don't know where else to turn. So I ask you: Do you know where I can buy these trees?

Nice tree! Sorry, tho, I can't help. Like you said, Heart's got nice stuff, as does Bliss Gardens. BTW - what's a pine tree gonna do on the ocean floor?

Lovely plummage on that tree.
It's not Heart or Lilith would be the creator. I would haunt all the places in the creator's picks until I found it. I'm bored. IM me his name inworld and I'll have a look around.

I guess there's no reason not to mention him here, as we're just discussing his business, and not in a derogatory way. Micky Doctorow is the one listed as creator, and sells the pre-fab mall my neighbor is using. I've been to his store which certainly has enough room for selling trees, but all the trees he has around are from Lilith. And the pine trees are not shown in any pictures of his products. There is just no evidence that they come from him, as he doesn't do any other plants that I can see. It's such a mystery!

These remind me a lot of the pine trees at Commonwealth Island; you might want to check there to see if those are the same type. I think (although I'm not positive) that the trees there are by Lilith Heart.

Nope..I was on Commonwealth Island yesterday and noted the trees, they do look similar but I don't think they're the same..

I don't think this tree's a Lilith Heart, that lowest group of branches are too 'chunky', Lilith would make them more 'slender' (yes...your right...I've been looking at a lot of trees lately, for the Island). Also I've checked out the Heart Garden Centre and despite the lag I'm pretty sure it wasn't there..some mighty fine looking alternatives though Ava, those weeping willows..wow! I've got a huge list of tree (and helicopters, planes, cars, houses - if Ingrid doesn't come though - furniture, fish, souring eagles etc etc) manufacturers to look at, if I see your tree..you'll be the first to know.

You could try Treeline Gardens (Smuk Zaftig)
You would think that if anyone in SL can recognize a tree and who it's made by it would be me..but I confess to be baffled.

have you tried checking the tree prims with 'edit linked' enabled? its possible the trees have a piece of the prefab mall as the root prim. From: Ava Glasgow My neighbor is an absentee mall-lord who will not respond to my inquiries, so perhaps you guys can help.

I'm not sure if it's one of his, but you could try Khamon Fate in Fate Gardens (region: Slate)

While Ava's looking for her tree can I ask a blindingly obvious question..If I buy one tree from someone for say $L100, and I plant that one tree..is that it..if I want two..or two hundred I have to buy two or two hundred trees..each costing $L100.

Check the permissions of the tree you are buying. If its no copy / transfer then you will have to buy multiple trees. Some creators do sell their trees with copy / no transfer permissions, in which case you buy the tree once and copy it to your hearts content. You can probably expect to pay a higher price for something with copy permissions.

I forgot to mention that many of the trees are completely unlinked, so it is very easy to check all the individual prims. Every single one of them is created by Micky. I've just gone completely through Lilith's place. I see a lot of trees that are nearly identical in construction and style, but not the one I'm looking for. (Lilith's stuff will certainly fill up the bulk of my garden, though!) I'm going to go check out the place Isablan recommended. I'm pretty sure I already checked Khamon's place a while back, but I'll swing by there to make sure. Thanks for the info so far! ETA: Nope, not Khamon. Also not Treeline Gardens, although they do have a tree that seems to be the same kind, called a Monkey Puzzle tree.

I would have said Monkey Puzzle or 'Pehuen' (Araucaria araucana) but to be honest it's the wrong shape (my Grandfather had one in his garden), this one's more pine or larch in shape (tall and slim) but certainly with monkey puzzle branches. Monkey Puzzle trees are a bit more 'squat'. Actually...goto.. http://arkive.org/species/GES/plants_and_algae/Araucaria_araucaria/ if you want to see your tree in RL footage... I could be wrong about the shape, maybe it's just the way Scots folk prune them (that's if you can prune a 40' tree)..having seen this..

Nope, not wrong at all! I was just going by what the tree at Treeline was called. You're exactly right, the foliage looks like a Monkey Puzzle, but the shape is completely wrong. The one at Treeline was the more squat looking kind, and was photo-sourced if I remember correctly. The one I'm looking at is definitely illustrated rather than a photo. For those who want to see it close up, it's at the mall on the west side of Gyeongju. When you see it in person, you'll see just how much it looks like one of Lilith's. I've never seen ANY plants in SL that looked like hers, except this one. Darn it, I WANT THIS TREE!!!
