hi

I currently live on a sim where i get extra prim allowance (0.5% extra), but my friend has offered me a cheaper place on her sim matching the same size land and prim allowance as i have now.
The problem is, she doesnt know how to give me the extra 0.5% prims on my plot.

Could someone please tell me how this is done, or do u have to have some kind of deal with LL to alocate extra prims?

thanx

Well on mainland you can do this by owning extra land on the same sim and therefore "borrowing" some of the prims from your spare land. Not sure how it works on private sims.

All sims can only have the same amount of prims. In most cases this is divided equally between the parcel sizes. If you want to offer someone higher prims, you need to take them from somewhere else on the sim.

Your current sim probably has areas with little or nothing on them like public parks or water.

the initial 512 sqm comes with 117 prims however, Many areas on a island are open areas and use far fewer prims than the land can support. All your allowed to do with a prim bonus is simply use the additional prims on your plot since they are coming frow the whole islands prim support. The owner simply allows you to access those additional prims.

Hi Sara

What your friend needs to do is to open up the Region/Estate menu she will have (under World). One of the tabs (I forget which - not in SL @ the moment) has a box on it saying "Object Bonus" (or something like that) - this is the "extra prims" you're referring to. Basically this increases the amount of prims per m2, BUT: still only 15000 per island sim as a total limit; AND it applies right across the sim.. she can't just give YOU the extra prims... all her renters would get the bonus. Which is why my rentals are sold by the prim, rather than the plot size. :)
