Downgrading Account!

Hi guys i was just wandering if i downgrade my account for a week or so will my land (512 sqm) be taken away?

Your monthly tier charge is based on the maximum amount of land that you hold at any one time during that month. So downgrading your account for one week won't save you any money, assuming you could downgrade while holding land.

So what exactly are you hoping to accomplish by this short-term change?

My account is due for renewel thursday and i dont have any money in my bank account till i get paid friday so if it renews i will have to pay a $50 bank charge

Sell your land ASAP, then downgrade.

If you're that tight for extra cash, stay with the free membership and use the earnings from your land sale as pocket money in SL.

If you hit renewal, and can't pay, then yes, you would lose the land.

Sell it and downgrade before that day hits, or you'll lose the money at both ends.

Your only other hope would be to contact support and ask for assistance, but by the time you get a reply, you will already have been docked for the failed bank transfer and will have lost the land. I would be incredibly surprised if the Lindens could respond fast enough to give you an alternative before Thursday.

You only need to borrow 2500 Ls or 3k tops.
Borrow the Ls from a friend and sell the Ls the account balance will then be used by the Lindens
If you do not have a friend who will loan you the Ls then I will be buy your land for 3K ( u will have 10-12 US in your account after selling. I will then set the land for sale back to you for 3K. Im not interested in making money off this, just a simple good deeed for the month. LOL
You wont have to move or anything. Nothing will change on the land. If you do not buy the land back by the following Friday ( little extra time) Ill set it for sale to anybody.

I would imagine that you have someone who will offer to loan you 3k though

If you dont catch Sara I will also offer to do the same as I have a spare 512 land allowence, that is I buy your land for $L3000 and will set it for sale back to you personally, will also agree to hold until the 4th of Feb before setting it for sale to anyone.

Any excess profit on a sale if you do not buy it back will be donated to a Caledon Sim charity (if you do not buy it back)

I got my wallet stolen recently, my bank card was in it, and replacement would take 2 weeks, my payment was due before those 2 weeks were over, I didnt pay on the exact date but they gave me one week to pay what I owed, that gave me enough time to do it. My balance was over 400 US, and np.
So, dont worry, e mail billing and explain your problem, they will probably do the same.

I heard a few nightmare stories that it took LLabs 6 Months to have some full acounts go down to basic. Even tho they req to have their accounts down graded to basic asap.

Unfortunately, they charge you a $10 admin fee to downgrade to a basic account. The only "free" option is cancelling your account altogether

I can do this holding thing too, and I can hold it longer than Saturday in case you need it longer, though you'll probably go with the others
