OK, OK, I know you're saying Oh. My. God. We've done this to DEATH. But mainly we've talked about skins and shapes. What I'm looking for is decent hair, fun hair, pretty hair, grunge hair, that ISN'T done by "the big guys".... don't get me wrong, I love Calla, and Gurl6 definitely is represented in my stable (I do hair like Brenda does shoes), but I want to find the new designers and smaller designers. Search is just too dang frustrating... any suggestions out there?

Have you tried Tami McCoy? I really like (and wear) her male hairstyles.

I shop at Goldi locks for my really long hair styles, but i wouldnt say they were a small shop.. rather large... I will have a look when i log in as i love finding smaller shops and creators that are not that well known

Definitely check out Aden at Random Industries. Also there's some great hair coming from the newer Japanese designers - try Shop Seu, 0 Style, creamshop and Hayate's Hair Lab for some different styles.

Thanks Stephanie I'll try them! I like Tami McCoy, but she's a "biggie"... I want to find the little guys...
I recently bought an Eat Rice hair... loved it! Very Japanese grunge... but looking for more grunge and funky stuff!

I don't know if she is considered "one of the big guys", but have you checked Sirena's Hair and Fashion. I love her hair.

Have you tried "Digital Kitties"? She's not exactly small, but she makes some awesome grunge/funky hairstyles.

Gritty Kitty makes jrocker inspired hair. =^___^= heh heh. But that's my store so that's pretty jackassy of me for posting.

For stores that aren't mine:
Electro Kitty by Elec Tone makes some really cool styles
Kin by Kin Keiko
Cream Shop by (I have no idea)

Did you mean Deviant Kitties?

And, Noam, shup...you know you incited mass hysteria on the grid when you released the Zombie and Ministry hairs a few months ago. :p

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Shop Seu is small but has great hair. I'd also recommend Electro Kitty...Elec does great grungy Japanese stuff and also has a fun blog (linguist's heaven, the English is just soooo cute)

so... all these kitty places... does the hair come with obligatory ears? I like nekos but have no plan to become one. Does the hair look normal without ears?

lol, no ears...Helyanwe (Deviant Kitties) used to sell her hair at Curious Kitties, so I guess when she purchased her own adjoining sim, she decided to stay with a kitty theme. :)

You can check out a lot of her styles here: http://helyanwevindaloo.blogspot.com/

Oryx,
hubbeh was perusing the SLExchange, and came across a designer with ethnic inspired hair: JDC, which has braids, locks and twists as well as afros, and "grungy" hair.
i ended up purchasing a braided chignon. check it out!
