I originally posted this in Current Version Feedback, but it seems nobody there can answer the question if this is a serious bug or normal behaviour:
Another builder and I finsihed a large build, and we decided to transfer ownership to my name using a land sale, so that I could "buy" the land back and take ownership of all the objects using the "Sell objects with land" option. It worked fine, or so we thought.
However yesterday I started doing some more work and when I unlinked a piece, it turns out only the Root prim had been transferred to my ownership, all the child prims still belonged to her!
Initially we thought maybe it had to do with permissions, but after many experiments on a 16 meter plot, the result was always the same. Only ownership for the root prim is being transferred with the land sale.
This is a pretty serious bug, has anyone else experienced this, or is there something that we are missing? I'm curious now about contents of items, if the ownership of the contents gets transferred or not.
I have not yet put this on JIRA as I am not sure if it's already there or if for some strange reason this would be considered how it's supposed to work (i hope it's not.)
