why does LindenLabs not regulate or care that people get cheated all the time at casinos in SecondLife??? Someone is going to sue them at somepoint over being cheated.

You coulda just posted this in your previous thread about casinos bud o.O;

Anyway... Do you realize what kind of manpower we are talking about here to regulate casinos in-world? I don't think they could even IF they cared.

Maybe they consider we are old enough that we don't need a baby sitter?

Oh, they do regulate. Virtual casinos are pretty much forbidden in SL... I'd call that a regulation.

Caveat Emptor.

There is an implied assumption that before you pay that shiny slot machine your "hard earned Linden dollars", you're going to do so with the understanding that:

1) You don't know who scripted it
2) You don't know who it pays
3) You don't know the odds of winning, and it's not obligated to inform you, nor comply even if it does.
4) It's under no obligation to pay you, even if the bells and whistles go off and it shouts loudly "YOU WON!"

Main Entry: gamble
Function: verb
Etymology: probably back-formation from gambler, probably alteration of obsolete gamner, from obsolete gamen to play
intransitive verb
1 a : to play a game for money or property b : to bet on an uncertain outcome
2 : to stake something on a contingency : take a chance
transitive verb
1 : to risk by gambling : WAGER
2 : VENTURE, HAZARD
